Ahoy from Guaymas, Mexico!

Guaymas MarinaOk, I'll admit it...I'm actually writing this from the
relative cool comfort of home in Marlborough, MA. We've been home for
a little over a week and we've been flat out resetting our lives to
land mode and getting the house/gardens back into some semblance of
what we want them to be. As nice as it is to have the luxuries of land
life, both Sue and I have said that we miss the simplicity of life
aboard BlueJacket. However, what we don't miss ...

MountainsThis is probably our last stop before we pull into Guaymas to

humidity have definitely arrived. I don't know what it's doing on the
Baja side, but on the mainland side it's hot and humid. During the day

Houses on hillI'm happy to report that our passage to Bahia Algodones
went off without any issues. No more fuel related drama. I've gone

have swapped 2 digits on the engine run hour meter. For example,
instead of 4034 hours, I put down 4043 hours at my last fill, which is
a difference of 11 hours and at 1.2 gallons per hour, that would be 13

It's been a long day, so while I still have energy, I'll sit down and
describe what occurred today. We decided that we would leave at around
sunrise so that we could make the 14 mile passage to Bahia San Pedro
before the winds and seas cranked up. Good idea, but Mother Nature
didn't seem to have read the memo. The winds started out very light
