BlueJacketYes, it's that time of year again when our ski season is
rapidly dwindling away and our attention is shifting towards
BlueJacket and our upcoming cruising season. Believe me, lots of prior
attention attention has been applied, but at this point we realize
that we've got less than a month before we'll be back on the boat.
Wow, time at home sure has flown!

This year we have been quite lucky to have known several cruisers who

You don't worry about what you wear, what car you drive, most people

Ahoy from Geoff & Sue aboard the BlueJacket!

I'm happy to report that we finally made it to Isla Monserrate. I've
been wanting to get here for the past 2 years, but we've never made
it. Thankfully this year the weather gods cooperated and we were able
anchor there. Isla Monseratte is located between Agua Verde and Puerto
Escondido (along with a lot of other beautiful places). There are
anchorages located on the SW and N ends of the island, so one would

Sierra de la GigantaI'm writing this from Puerto Escondido where I've
just finished doing one of my favorite things...watching the sun come
up and light up the Sierra de la Giganta mountains that tower above
this section of coast. The mountains are very red in color and the
warm morning sunlight just makes them glow. They're 4700' high right
here and their peaks just a few miles from the coast, so you can
imagine how steep they are. In the photo...

Sue sewing coverOur cruising lately can best be described as floating
up and down the Sea of Cortez with the tides. We've pretty much been
"stuck" in the same area with minor changes in location. Believe me,
this is not an issue as this is definitely some of the most beautiful
